Submix, Inc. (“Submix,” “we,” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy in providing our remote desktop music collaboration software client (“Desktop Client”) and online platform (together, the “Platform”) and the https://submix.io website (the “Website”). This policy (“Policy”) describes the types of information that we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the Website, when you download the Desktop Client or use when you use the Platform, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information. Google Analytics, Heap and Hotjar are technology services that help us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.), and they enable us to build and maintain our service with analytics and user feedback. These services use cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices.

Where we collect personal information relating to individuals within the European Economic Area, it will be transferred to our servers within the United States on the basis of the EU-US Privacy Shield recognized by the European Commission.
Where you believe that we have not complied with our obligations under this Policy or European law, you have the right to make a complaint to an EU Data Protection Authority.

Governing Law

By choosing to visit or use the Website or the Platform, or provide information to us, you agree that any dispute over privacy or the terms contained in this Policy will be governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States of America. You also agree to abide by any dispute resolution mechanisms or limitations on damages contained in our Terms of Service, or other agreements that we have with you.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You can review and change your personal information by logging into the Platform and visiting your account profile page. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect. If you delete your account, you will no longer have access to your account, but we may retain any personal information collected about you in a manner consistent with this Policy. Also, copies of your personal information or information related to your sessions might have been copied or stored by other users. Proper access and use of information provided on the Platform, including information related to your sessions, is governed by our terms of use.

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure, such as password encryption and firewalls to protect against attacks. We also monitor traffic for anomalies using cloud infrastructure tooling and analytics platforms. We will report breaches of personal information to users using the email addresses we have on file.
The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of the Website or the Platform, you are responsible for keeping that password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to or through the Website or the Platform.
